[non so se è gia stata aperto un 3d simile, ma a quest ora la ricerca non funziona]
ormai è stato introdotto lo standard pc-ex 1x per le schede, ma io finora l ho visto adottare solo da alcune schede video e controller che si contano sulle dita di una mano...
esistono schede su questo slot, del tipo schede audio(avevo letto dalla creative che una scheda audio è poco compatibile con il pci-express ma che ci stavano lavorando) o anche schede di acquisizione, adattat. wireless, porte d espansione...?

Actually, the PCI Express bus was intended to improve the older AGP graphic card bus, not to replace the standard PCI bus.

However, as you can see from the diagram, the new bus architecture has become already a jungle of multiple formats.
