ho un hd s-ata da 200gb che è formattato in ntfs,ed è usato solo per "storage", solo che non so come faccio a farglelo a vedere? vede tutte le partizioni di windows ma uil s-ata no, che devo fare?

c'era gia' questo disco, oppure l'hai collegato dopo ?
comunque prova a vedere se lo vedi con diskdrake; in caso affermativo, basta dargli il mount point

si c'era già, solo che su diskdrake non lo vede, vede "tutto" tranne il hd s-ata.

che cosa devo fare?

dovrebbe esserci nella doc della mainboard; non sarebbe male anche, postare qualche log; se vai in /var/log ci sono dei file di log, tipo
dmesg che viene riscritto ad ogni boot o altri che sono cumulativi (ci sono tutte le informazioni dall'installazione in poi); prova a vedere se dice qualcosa riguardo ai dischi; magari comincia da dmesg (postalo se vuoi), eventualmente vediamo gli altri; vado sul generico, perche' sto scrivendo da win; stasera potrei essere piu' preciso

sono un pirla,non mi ero accorto, ma diskdrake LO VEDE come:

per il /dev/fs, non saprei; per il disco, in harddrake basta che gli associ il mount point (una directory tipo /winsata) salvi esci ed al successivo riavvio dovresti vederti il disco sotto la dir /winsata; probabilmente in harddrake devi passare alla modalita' esperto (occhio); altrimenti c'e' un modo piu' manuale

ce l'ho fatta da solo! :D

con diskdrake non funzionava lo stesso, (avevo creato una cartella in /mnt/winsata) ma non mi vedeva inetne

ho editato il file fstab e ci ho aggiunto:

/dev/sda1 /mnt/winsata ntfs umask=0,nls=iso8859-15,ro 0 0



questi li ho copiati dalle righe deglui altri 2 hd montati:

umask=0,nls=iso8859-15,ro 0 0

che cosa vogliono dire precisamente? xkè io leggendo un pò su internet avevo fatto all'inizio:

/dev/sda1 /mnt/winsata ntfs default 0 0 (mi sembra) ma solo da root entravo sull'hd

umask serve per predefinire i permessi.
L'impostazione di di umask a 0 significa che i nuovi file sono creati con permesso di lettura e scrittura per chiunque (-rw-rw-rw-) e le nuove directory sono create con permesso di lettura, scrittura e ricerca per chiunque (drwxrwxrwx); che poi in pratica nel caso tuo si tratta semplicemente di permettere a tutti solo di leggere, dato che nella riga c'e' l'opzione ro (read only); come infatti saprai allo stato attuale da linux non si puo' scrivere (a meno di disporre driver particolari) su partizioni ntfs.
l'altra cosa penso si riferisca al set di caratteri, non so quanto sia indispensabile; penso se ne possa fare a meno
