masterizzare dvd con cdrecord

Ho un problema con una RH9.
Dopo aver installato il masterizzatore DVD ho creato una immagine iso, ma se è più grande di 700Mb non la scrive :(

Creo l'immagine con: mkisofs -o img.iso -R -J -iso-level 3 <directory>

Per scrivere l'immagine uso: cdrecord -v dev=0,0,0 speed=1 blank=fast '/root/img.iso'

Questo è il risultato di cdrecord -scanbus

non so quanto possa cambiare ma personalmente non ho mai cancellato e allo stesso tempo passato a cdrecord la iso da masterizzare.

per di più ho sempre usato -data per indicargli il tipo di file e senza usare '...' :
-data /home/immagine.iso
prova a separare le procedure di cancellazione e copia iso così da capire anche meglio dove sta il problema
puoi provare anche da root per vedere se ti fa lo stesso.

Volevo far vedere la versione di cdrecord (2.0-6)
Da quello che capisco qui http://cdrecord.berlios.de/old/private/cdrecord.html la versione 2.0 è l'ultima.

Forse mi manca qualcosa?

Scusami tu, è che sono un po' gnucco...
Anche la mia risposta era un po' sintetica. Mi riferivo al messaggio che era contenuto nei tuoi log, dove praticamente dice che la versione di cdrecord che tu hai non ha il supporto per i DVD-R/DVD-RW.
Non so se sei pratico di inglese, ma puoi guardare al sito dell'autore che trovi qui (http://cdrecord.berlios.de/old/private/cdrecord.html), però ti avverto: è un autentico casino e si fa fatica a capire qualcosa...
Stando sempre al tuo messaggio di log sembra che tu debba munirti di cdrecord-proDVD che si può trovare a questo indirizzo (ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/ProDVD/).
Spero di esserti stato di aiuto e di non aver fatto più casino...

Non so se hai notato che l'autore dice anche:

Both RedHat and SuSE publish bastardized and defective variants of cdrtools in their distributions.
If you have problems on RedHat or SuSE systems, first fetch a recent original cdrtools source, compile it yourself
and run the original instead of broken software that illegally claims to be cdrecord.

Cioè praticamente si lamenta pesantemente che RH ha "bastardizzato" il programma...
