ma voi la notate la differenza?
Io l´ho installato sulla mia gentoo... ma non mi pare sia diventato un lampo come dicono tutti... il tempo d´avvio é praticamente uguale a prima (anzi... forse ha pure perso qualcosa da quando si é aggiunto un "waiting for /dev/rtc to appear".. non sono sicuro sia rtc... cominciava per r cmq)

La riga in grub per dirgli di usare initng l´ho messa... esiste un modo per controllare che initng stia effettivamente partendo?

all'avvio ad ogni servzio caricato vedi la percentuale di boot, se usi initng :)

a me su debian aveva quasi dimezzato i tempi di caricamento (da 25 secondi a poco più di 10), spettacolare... però non mi faceva partire l'audio e qualcos altro quindi non lo potevo utilizzare normalmente, peccato.

su ubuntu invece non riesco a farlo funzionare... :(

ma non è quello, dipende da cosa vedi durante il boot :D

mi sono espresso male... volevo dire 2 cose distinte e ho fatto un riassunto :D
1) La mia riga in grub é uguale alla tua (e in teoria dovrebbe essere giusta)
2) Il boot dá esattamente gli stessi messaggi pre-initng, ci mette lo stesso tempo e non dá nessuna percentuale come descritto da te...

Da questo deduco che initng non sta facendo un tubo... non é che magari esiste un comando tipo verbose per fargli dire cosa non gli piace?
