STORY

It took longer than it really should have but by 2050, humanity has finally colonized Mars. The leader of the effort is an entrepreneur named Jeff Murray. Rather than live on the surface of the Mars, People have made their homes deep underground. The city and all its supporting facilities are buried deep down, safe from the inhospitable climate of the surface.

Dr. West migrated to Mars recently at the personal invitation of Jeff Murray. Dr. West has been working on important research which he had hoped might lead to a cure for the Alzheimer's Disease. From the moment he arrived at the colony, strange and terrible things have been happening...

In Subterrain you fill the shoes of Dr. West, the apparent lone survivor of the underground city of Mars. Do what you must to fight, survive, escape, or otherwise amongst limited resources and relentless enemies. Your worst enemy will be your own carelessness...



SURVIVE

It's you against an army of infected Martian colonists... better take a piss! And don't forget to eat something or you won't last long! The infected are not the only dangers the lurk beneath the surface of the red planet. Sickness, bleeding, bone fractures, exhaustion, hypothermia, and starvation are stalking your every move. Ultimately your own carelessness will be your worst enemy. Use your wits and resources to survive long enough and you might just unlock the mysteries of Subterrain.
  • Hardcore survival elements. Drink, Eat, and Take piss.
  • Risk contamination from infection and contaminated food.
  • Grow fruits and vegetables using accelerated growth unit.
  • Danger of abnormal environment temperature and oxygen level
  • Limited vision means you won't be able to see what your character can't see.



COMBAT

Chop, bash, slash, and blast the infected with melee weapons, bombs, and energy guns. Of course, you can always beat them to a pulp with your bare hands if you don't want to get your weapons dirty. It's you against the world, so be sure to use tactics and fight smart!
  • Skill, Stat and Tactic based combat.
  • Stamina dependent melee fight and mobility.
  • Mutants will be able to see you, hear you and smell you.
  • Mutants will evolve over time.
  • Risk of fracture and virus infection.
  • Trigger based bombs and laser tripwire.
  • Perform critical damage by sneaking behind enemy.



CRAFT AND RESEARCH

The Mars base is equipped with advanced 3D-printing technology to help you craft weapons, parts, gears, and suits. The bio-research lab allows you to analyze the leftovers of dead enemies. Research allows you to create chemical boosts that will give you an edge against the environment and enemies.
  • Recycle junk you find into useful items.
  • Create various equipments and weapons.
  • Research mutant samples and create boosts.
  • Find parts, blueprints and mine rare materials



EXPLORE

The world of Subterrain is a vast underground facility on mars. Feel free to explore the colony, search, and loot everything (we won't judge). Hidden ventilation ducts provide access to hidden rooms, and an underground train connects the different parts of the city. Careful searching will reveal hidden items, doors, and entrances to secret places. Just don't get lost!
  • Free open world travel at the cost of your survival needs.
  • Sneak into air duck and get to place where you normally can't.
  • Hidden rooms and places.
  • Hidden items under the funitures.
  • Find parts, blueprints and mine rare materials
  • Different types of end mission achievements with multiple outcomes.

Nono, é molto simile a Project Zomboid come gameplay, con la differenza che qui una chance di salvarti la hai.

Release Note : Version 0.8.7.7 28 Oct 2015

- Fixed : Master traveler achievements now always send total visited stats instead of incremental ones.

- New : New 3 ranged weapons! These are special type and you can only get them if you go with some minor side quest. This quest activates from the Herbert research center. Thanks to Commander Shepard for this one! Unfortunately, this means the most of the existing players won't be able to craft these, because this update requires a new special room to be generated, and the key items as well. Just becareful not to blow yourself up!

- Update : More medical room tile for random map.

- Update : Stun effects for electric powered melee weapons are now activated.

- Update : Oxygen warning is now about how much you have in your suit tank, instead of how much oxygen is in West's body. This will hopefully warns the players early enough so they can take right actions.

- Update : Increased evolution timing (again..) to reflect recent feedback about the game being too difficult after say day 20 or so.

This update requires updating the localization file :

UI_Text has been changed as well to reflect the changed oxygen warning.

Oxygen tutorial image has been changed. Russian image need to change as well.

Per fortuna loro tengono alla random map generation.. non vedo l'ora!! É in finalizzazione! Ma adesso stanno completando il supporto al CONTROLLER. (previsto entro il 21)
