Ottimo trucco, avevo notato anch'io tutte le traduzioni. La prima direttiva (Acquire::Languages "en") e' indispensabile? Perche' tanto per cambiare adesso non c'e' piu' apt.conf, bensi' la struttura e' diventata simile a quella di grub:

Sono andato avanti con l'installazione, ho provato a installare KDE4. Non l'avessi mai fatto: a parte i blocchi continui (ma puo' essere colpa mia che sto usando la testing), e' un macigno vero e proprio. Se quelli di KDE volevano imitare Vista o 7 ci sono riusciti alla grande e per fortuna che avevo installato il minimo indispensabile:

Il sistema era lento a caricare la parte grafica ed era molto meno reattivo di KDE3.5, l'uso della memoria era nettamente superiore a prima e anche quello del processore. In effetti a pc in idle la CPU era sempre sotto stress... per visualizzare il desktop

Ho visto che adesso startx si puo' lanciare da user e non occorre piu' essere root, ottimo.
Deluso da KDE (che probabilmente non usero' mai piu') ho provato diversi desktop environments e window managers, alla fine ho optato per LXDE: veramente FAVOLOSO, il computer e' diventato una scheggia, senza contare le buone possibilita' di personalizzazione.
Ci ho installato firefox e openoffice, in effetti queste sono fra le poche applicazioni che usero' graficamente e quindi non se ne poteva fare a meno.
