Kôna: Day One Is Now Kona
At first, we thought Kôna sounded really great; it was exotic, short and unique. While doing some research, we made a few discoveries:
- “Cona” is slang for female genitals in Portuguese;
- Kona is a bike brand;
- Kona is a city in Hawaii;
- Kona is a beer brand;
- Kona is a coffee brand;
- and so on…
None of these are related to games, so we added “Day One” to distinguish our game from those discoveries. Then, there was an incident: Day One: Garry’s Incident. Since this game is totally different from ours, we want to avoid comparisons as much as possible. So, the first act will now be called Kona and we’ll find new, better names for the other installments.
