"Problem:
A WD TV Live Streaming Media Player is unable to access media content shared by a Mac running OSX 10.7.x (Lion).
Solution:
Critical: The instructions below are intended for advanced users only. Failure to understand or follow these instructions may damage your computer, NAS, or WD TV player. Western Digital is not responsible for any damages caused by following these instructions.
On a WD TV Live Streaming Media Player you will need to use NFS to access a shared folder. To configure NFS please follow the instructions below:
Important: You need Administrator access to perform these steps
On the Mac:
Open Terminal.
Share the folder you wish to view on your WD TV Live Streaming Media Player.
Note: Note the IP address of the WD TV Live Streaming Media Player
Get the path of the folder you want to share.
Type vi /etc/exports in Terminal.
Type <folder path> -mapall=<username of your Mac> <IP address of your WD TV Live Streaming Media Player> in Terminal.
Type nfsd restart in Terminal to restart the nfsd daemon.
Type showmount -e to check if the folder is being shared. It should list the exported directory(folder path) and the client IP (IP of the WD TV Live Streaming Media Player).
Once you have performed the above steps, there are a few additional steps that must be perfomed directly from the WD TV Live Streaming Media Player:
From the TV UI select Photos or Videos or Music and select content source and then select NFS .
Verify the IP address provided matches the IP of your Mac. If it does not, please perform the steps listed above again.
Select the source and you should be able to play content"

il problema penso sia lo stesso stato segnalato anche nella discussione su Lion, perciò ti chiedevo. eccoti il link alla questione:

Mi sa che se non c'è un aggiornamento firmware o un software proprietario (come per il popcorn) c'è poco da fare.
