Pat Patla: Niente chipset Nvidia per le piattaforme socket G34 e C32
Alcune dichiarazione di Pat Patla (direttore Marketing Server/Workstation , Microprocessor Solutions Sector AMD) sembrano chiudere le porte a Nvidia e Broadcom per i chipset futuri destinati alle piattaforme "Maranello" e "San Marino" basati sul socket G34 e C32:
"For 2010 moving forward, the solutions coming out from AMD will be AMD and on AMD at this time," stated server business unit vice president Pat Patla. "We don't expect to see new chipsets from Nvidia or Broadcom for server implementations in 2010. But they will continue to support all existing platforms moving forward through 2010."
Per ora non si sa se AMD intenda escludere dai giochi Nvidia anche sulle piattaforme Desktop con CPU basate sull' architettura Bulldozer attese nel 2011...
